Cherokee Cheyenne

This has been a really hard week for our whole family. We lost our 13 year old boxer Cheyenne . Cheyenne has been fighting cancer and we spent Tuesday night with him being very weak and sick . He passed away Wednesday around 2. Our hearts are broken. My kids have never really known life without him. Certain things like him meeting them at the gate in the backyard. He loved camping out with the kids, going for walks in the woods with them. He was the most loyal loving dog. We will miss him dearly.

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday Dustin!

My heart is heavy, and my thoughts are all over the place. I can't believe another year without you . I miss you so much! I know you are rocking with Jesus , and playing on streets of gold. I know it might sound selfish , but I wish you were here with me. Your brothers would love to be playing with you and hanging out. Our family will only be complete when we all meet you in heaven someday. Happy Birthday Baby! Love , Mom

HAPPY FLAG DAY AND SUNDAY!

Wishing you all a Happy Flag Day and Sunday. Can you believe that Flag Day started back in 1777! It has been such a busy week. Trying to get Elijah feeling better , and working like crazy in this heat and rain. I'm pretty tired of so much liquid sunshine!! Ready for some dry weather for a change. The grass is turning into a jungle ! Have a great one!

Tough Week!

He never promised that the cross would not get heavy
and the hill would not be hard to climb
He never offered our victories without fighting
but HE said help would always come in time!
Just remember when you re standing at the valley of decision
and the adversary says give in Just hold on, our Lord will show up!
and the hill would not be hard to climb
He never offered our victories without fighting
but HE said help would always come in time!
Just remember when you re standing at the valley of decision
and the adversary says give in Just hold on, our Lord will show up!
and He will take you through the fire again!
I wanted to share this song with you. Click the link and be blessed!

I love this song by the Crabb family. Each time I hear it .. it brings me to my knees!
Because God does show up just in time all the time!
It's been a really hard week for me. Tough in many areas. Most of all... my grandmother has been suffering and had some surgery with hope of some pain relief. It's like ripping out your heart to watch suffering in someone you love so much . To see how it hurts my mother makes it even harder. Please keep our family in your prayers.
Hope you all have an amazing weekend! Stacy

Thankful Thursday!

In this tough economy we tend to think about what we don't have in wants and needs. I just wanted to list the things I am thankful for today.... in no particular order.
God ... my salvation
freedom
Dillon, Dustin and Elijah (my boys)
my family
my true friends
the most wonderful animals
music
laughter
my blogging friends
Cabernet candles
flowers and sunshine
yellow box sandals
olive garden dinners! lol
old time church singing!
the smell of the air after it rains
diet pepsi
insulin( although I hate needles... I d be dead without it!)
There are many more this just starts the list! I could think of a million random things that I'm so thankful for daily. Makes me feel so much better than worrying about things I can't change!
Hope your Thursday is amazing!

FAITH-HOPE-LOVE!!

"…Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance….Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7,13
Have a great Wednesday!

A letter from a friend.......... I feel worth sharing!

LIVE UR LIFE
We all know that sometimes our lives can take unexpected turns, but I have found that it is how we react to these turns that define us. Everything in life from the birth of a child to the passing of a dear friend can be viewed as WE decide. The situation does not dictate how it is viewed, but our perception of it does.
If you begin to look at life for the true wonder it really is; filled with vitality and love, laughs and joy, smiles and giggles…then you can begin to see how wonderful everyday can be and you too have the choice to change your perspective if you are willing to try.
See, in each and every moment in our lives we can CHOOSE on how to react. Often times we get in a rut or groove and just begin to form bad habit on reacting to things. Sometimes you will think something is bad before you hear the whole idea or decide something has made you mad before encompassing the whole thought of it.
I CHOOSE to be in a great mood!! I CHOOSE to separate myself from negativity and negative people. Life is too short to dwell on why you didn’t get a raise or why you don’t have the same things as others…your life is what you’ve decided to make of it.
You ARE right where your efforts and attitude have placed you…there are no real victims of society and there are plenty of examples to prove that if you truly want it. EVERYTHING and ANYTHING is possible! YOU have the choice to be life’s victim and sit by and watch others have fun…OR you can get up and go with them!! I choose to go!!
Once you begin to do this (start small) your life will really begin to change for the better in every way. Start with thinking and believing that EVERYDAY is wonderful and special, not just birthdays and holidays! Why do I have to wait till my calendar says it is O.K. to have a good time, grill some steaks or have a beer with a buddy? Why can’t I have the best time of my life at 5:12 on a rainy Tuesday with a roll of duct tape and a toothpick? I CAN and HAVE!!
You know, sadly it took almost dying before I realized how amazing every single second of my life is…I am constantly making memories that I want to last a life time and they include everyone and everything. All moments are big because they only happen once…make the most of yours!!!
Oh, please note; as soon as you start living for now and being happy all of the time the idiots come out of the wood-work. Everyone has something negative to say because that is all they know. People will begin to seek you out and tell you WHY you should be sad or upset or things you should dwell on…amazing that so many people can only lift their spirits by dragging yours down.
Keep your head up, look towards the sun!! Live your life and help others learn to live theirs. Be free, live in the moment and make memories to last forever but most of all…love life and try your best to live it everyday.
Much Love –
D.
A dear friend tagged me on this letter .... he's a pretty amazing guy! We share many of the same ideas and views. Thinking if most of the people we know could have this view ... what a better place we would all live in! Peace and love~

Litte Ezra!
Happy Memorial Day May 25, 2009

My country, 'tis of Thee,
Sweet Land of Liberty
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From every mountain side
Let Freedom ring.
My native country, thee,
Land of the noble free,
Thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
Thy woods and templed hills,
My heart with rapture thrills
Like that above.
Let music swell the breeze,
And ring from all the trees
Sweet Freedom's song;
Let mortal tongues awake;
Let all that breathe partake;
Let rocks their silence break,
The sound prolong.
Our fathers' God to Thee,
Author of Liberty,
To thee we sing,
Long may our land be bright
With Freedom's holy light,
Protect us by thy might
Great God, our King.
Our glorious Land to-day,
'Neath Education's sway,
Soars upward still.
Its hills of learning fair,
Whose bounties all may share,
Behold them everywhere
On vale and hill!
Thy safeguard, Liberty,
The school shall ever be,
Our Nation's pride!
No tyrant hand shall smite,
While with encircling might
All here are taught the Right
With Truth allied.
Beneath Heaven's gracious will
The stars of progress still
Our course do sway;
In unity sublime
To broader heights we climb,
Triumphant over Time,
God speeds our way!
Grand birthright of our sires,
Our altars and our fires
Keep we still pure!
Our starry flag unfurled,
The hope of all the world,
In peace and light impearled,
God hold secure!
Celebrating Memorial Day with my 100th post! Hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday!

Cabin Fever!

It's Sunday and all we have seen in Bama for the last few days is liquid sunshine! Today we had cabin fever and needed to get out a bit. We went to a campground where the ducks were in heaven! The boys had some pizza and breathing room since we had been couped up for a few days. I wanted to wish you all a wonderful Memorial Day tomorrow.

FREEDOM

Well... here it is FRIDAY! All I can say today is SHEW WHAT A WEEK! lol
So, I really hope you all have some relaxing great plans for the Memorial Day Weekend! Not sure of my exact plans yet, but I'll be sure to get some pictures to share with you all. I think we all have those who make Memorial Day personal to us. Some people are not sure who we should honor on this day. The truth is we should honor all veterans , but on Memorial Day.... we should honor and remember those who have died or those who died in war. I personally thank them for helping keep our freedoms. God bless them all!

Miss Meagan!

This is Miss Meagan! She had surgery Thursday on her foot. Pray that it heals and she has no more problems. This is a surgery they knew would be coming since birth. She was pretty happy when I told her we would blog her picture! She wanted all of you to see her pretty in pink cast!
Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow and those of you who aren't mother's ... have a great Sunday!

Annoyed!
I'm here to rant a bit! Last night I was driving to get some dinner for the kids. When out of no where comes this enormous black dog. Yup.... no way to dodge her. I pulled into a drive way since we were in the middle of a busy highway. Here it is...after 9 and no one has a clue whose animal this is! I tried to pull her to the side , but couldn't get her too far off the road. Pretty obvious that someone would have to know since she has had pups not so long ago. I was sad ( so were the kids) and disgusted! Here my car is bumper in front damaged badly and no one has a clue about this poor dog. Just turned loose to run in this dangerous area. We were sure someone had to know where this dog belonged! When the state trooper gets there .... he's like I have to decide if this is worth a report. I'm looking at my bumper hanging and knowing the scratched new paint job will for sure be at least 800.00 ... shaking my head in disgust! I was not aware that when you carry full coverage insurance on a car ... a state trooper can deny you a police report! How can he possibly know how much damage has occurred!!! Then there is this dog still laying on the side of the road! Which they never even called animal control to come and pick up. So sad!! Somethings like this make no sense to me! Guess how many weeks before I can pay 15.00 to pick up my report for someone not taking care of their animal? 3 to 4 weeks he tells me . I might add that he tells me before leaving .... be sure to send in the form I gave you before 30 days or they will suspend your license. I am thinking..... you haven't even tried to find the owner of this dog! I have to pay because someone didn't care enough about their animal to keep it up! Somewhere in one of these back yards are pups!!! Wondering how old they are ... can they eat yet on their own. Sorry , I know this is all over the place. I just can not believe this society we live in sometimes!

THE HISTORY OF MOTHER'S DAY

The celebration of Mother’s Day dates back all the way to ancient times, but the idea of the celebration was first kicked around in 1872. Julia Ward Howe, author of the words to the “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” proposed Mother’s Day as a day dedicated to peace.
But it was Ann Jarvis of West Virginia, however, who really pushed for a national day to honor mothers. On the second anniversary of her mother’s death, Jarvis asked her mother’s church in Grafton, West Virginia, to celebrate a day to honor mothers. Her mother had died on the second Sunday in May. The church obliged and the following year, the city of Philadelphia joined in the celebration. Thanks to a campaign by Jarvis and her supporters, by 1911 almost every state celebrated Mother’s Day. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson made it a national holiday.
Other countries also celebrate Mother’s Day, but some on different days. In England, Mothering Sunday is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent.
I guess we all just assume it has been around forever. Thought you all might like to know where it started from. I have a great mother and am a mother myself. There truly is nothing like the bond between mothers and their children. As this Mother's Day approaches I wish all of you mother's a wonderful day! Below are some pics of some great mom's that I know. If your picture isn't on here ....please don't be offended . I simply don't have pictures of all the mom's I know and love! My mother is first on the list! I have some great ones of me and my mom , but the scanner is on the other pc at this time. Borrowed some pics from some of your sites ( my blogging friends) Blog is dedicated to all you great mom's pictured or not.
For those of you who have inquired about the link to April Rose's Mommies blog its below.
Typical Tuesday!!!!

Wow... this week is a little better than last week with my health. Still having several test to get back . I felt like an Alabama pin cushion last week. Considering I am mortified of needles ... it was not a fun week at all. The weather is crazy, hot and wet. Welcome to Bama! Seems a bit more like June than May. We should get good use of the pool this summer. Hope you are all enjoying the warmth and partial sunshine...lol. Have an amazing Tuesday!
